Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers are a simple procedure, using FDA and CE approved products, and requires very little downtime depending on the treated area, and your recovery. It’s essential to have this procedure carried out by a qualified medical professional, and I’m proud to say that, with over 18 years medical experience, you are in safe, highly skilled hands.
Dermal filler is a substance which is injected into the skin, with a touch of local anaesthetic, which will plump out and lift the skin to revitalise your look. When in place, the dermal filler binds with water to provide that lift and lasting firmness. A number of different areas can be treated with dermal fillers including smile, marionette lines, tear troughs, lip borders (to define the area) and, of course, the ever-popular lip, cheek and jawline enhancements. We can also use dermal fillers to correct skin unevenness after skin grafting, bringing a uniformity to the skin.
After treatment there should be little downtime - you can usually get straight back to your day, although we advise avoiding exercise for 48 hours after and there may be a small amount of swelling or bruising. Typically, visible results of dermal fillers can last six to twelve months but this varies. The filler is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body, so any lines, wrinkles or enhanced areas will revert to their previous appearance without top-ups. We are proud to use Teoxane (RHA series), Pluryal and Restylane for our dermal filler services.
